20 in 20

Helloooo lovlies! Yes, I know. You’re angry with me for not blogging AT ALL in August. Well, I’m angry with me too. So let’s all just hug it out and move on with our lives, shall we?

The good news is that I have a laundry list of blog topics that is ready and waiting to be written about. I know, you can barely contain yourselves!

But down to business: As some of you know, last week I decided to go on a mission to lose 20 pounds in 20 weeks. After some very angry emails, texts and IMs from some of you, I’ve decided to slightly modify my challenge to myself. PS – thanks for grossly underestimating my weight – that’s why we’re such good friends

So yes, the mission is still 20 in 20 (the PR girl in me just couldn’t resist), but instead of 20 pounds lost, it can be 20 anythings – pounds, inches, pant sizes, bad habits, etc. And instead of starting last week (and ending on my birthday), I’m starting this week – with Wednesday being Weigh-in Wednesday (OKAY, I like cheesy alliteration – GET OVER IT). The start date was changed due to the fact that this weekend was a huge FAT FAIL, as I spent the weekend in Austin eating terrible food, drinking way too much and watching the Horns beat up Tech–TOTALLY worth it.

The inspiration for my 20 in 20 Challenge stems from my love of the Out of Control Fat Roll girls. I am friends with two of these lovely ladies (one of whom I met for the first time in real life this weekend – stop judging, I am excellent at making e-besties and managing long distance relationships of all kinds) and they have really started a fitness/healthy lifestyle revloution for themselves. And now it’s my turn.

They’re really ballsy – posting their weight online - but I think that’s one of the keys to their success. Accountability is important, and that’s where YOU PEOPLE come in. I will be posting my weight online too, and YOU PEOPLE must love and support me, slap that brownie out of my hand, limit my guacamole intake SEVERELY and force me to work out at least 5 times a week.

20 weeks: February 10, 2010. 2/10/10 – 2 x 10 = 20 in 2010. I am also a numbers nerd.
